Event Details

A Death Cafe is an opportunity for people to gather, eat snacks, and talk about death.  This not-for-profit event is not intended "to lead people to any conclusion other than to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives."  Death Cafes, based on the work of Bernard Crettaz, were first held by Jon Underwood in Great Britain and were brought to the United States by Lizzy Miles.
Please join us on this date for what will surely be a rich conversation.  Pre-registration is required and intended for adults only.  For more information, please email Justin Magnuson:  Justin@livingfullyky.com or visit deathcafe.com.  Our event will be hosted by both Justin Magnuson and Jen Weidner.
Justin has been hosting Death Cafes since 2014.  He always finds the conversations thought provoking and he also enjoys learning about other people's experiences and perspectives.
Jen works as a public services clerk at the library and is attending graduate school.  She was raised in a family that spoke freely of death and dying and she has always been curious about how others view death and subsequently deal with the loss of a loved one.  Jen feels that the more we know about death, the better we can live our lives and thus be prepared for the end of life.
