Hepatitis A: An Educational Program

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Jeffersonville Township Public Library
North Program Room

Event Details

Lately, we've been hearing a lot about people, restaurant workers in particular, contracting Hepatitis A.   Many of us, however, still don't know what it is.
Essentially, it is a highly contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus.  This particular virus is just one of several types of hepatitis viruses that cause inflammation and affect your liver's ability to function.
Join us on this date when Amelia Johns, a Public Health Nurse with Clark County Health Department, will be at the library to give us an overview of Hepatitis A.  She will answer any and all questions one might have.
The bottom line is if we can become better informed about Hepatitis A, the greater our odds become of not contracting it!
