Let's Get To Work!  At today's In Person Summer Job Fair & More, Ashley Jackson with Surge Staffing will be on hand along with Bridges of Indiana.  Surge Staffing is looking for individuals interested in industrial/warehouse positions, in particular, and Bridges of Indiana has many caregiving opportunities available for job seekers.  Joining them will be Sunrise Recovery, represented by Laura Nowling;  WorkOne Southern Indiana, represented by April Vaught; Community Action of Southern Indiana (CASI); LifeSpring, represented by Malinda Mackenzie, Community Outreach Coordinator; and New Hope Services.

Cara Burton, Public Services Senior Library Clerk/Outreach, will be representing the library along with The Friends of The Library.  Cara will be available to answer any questions one might have about job searching or resume building and The Friends of The Library will have a table full of books for sale, the majority of which will be job-related.  Joining them will be Diane Stepro, the library's Genealogy & History Librarian.  She will have a pop up genealogy table available along with free plants and seeds for anyone interested in gardening.  In addition to her love of genealogy and family history, Diane is an avid gardener herself and recently started the library's own Seed Library.

Clark Memorial Hospital, represented by Alicia Rousseau, Manager of Community Outreach, will have a table available of educational resources on Summer Safety and Skin Cancer Prevention plus free handouts of sunscreen, lip balm and insect repellant.  Don't forget to stop by Alicia's  table first to arm yourself with protection from the hot sun!  While you're there, don't forget to enter the drawing for a free soft-sided travel cooler!

Barber Academy, represented by Marshall Pence, owner, and his staff, will be on hand to provide information to those interested in becoming a licensed barber.  Training, on the average, can take 7-9 months or even longer.  Mr. Pence will be awarding a scholarship to one lucky person for training at Barber Academy to become a barber!

This is where the MORE part comes in!  The Jeffersonville Police Department will have a police car on display along with handouts for everyone!  The Jeffersonville Fire Department will have a fire truck on display as well, but only from 12:00-2:00 p.m.  In addition, The ROLLING PIG PIN food truck will be here!  So, come on out for today's event and bring your whole family with you!

Gallaudet University on Twitter: "Don't wait, the Internship and Job Fair at the Field House ends at 3pm! ⏳⏳… "

The Job Fair will be held outside in our staff parking lot from 11:00-4:00 p.m.
